Philip J. Nathanson 

Philip J. Nathanson began his legal career in 1979. As a trial and appellate attorney he concentrates his practice on civil litigation for clients nationwide. His caswork includes business litigation, professional negligence cases (medical malpractice, legal malpractice, accounting malpractice), personal injury, products liability cases, probate, will contest and trust litigation, civil rights cases, employment and retaliatory discharge cases and family law & divorce.  

Previous Work

Prior to establishing The Nathanson Law Firm, Philip Nathanson was a partner Goldberg & Goldberg, one of Chicago’s largest plaintiff’s trial firms, where he focused on plaintiff's medical malpractice, product liability and personal injury cases at the trial and appellate level. Mr. Nathanson’s extensive experience includes partnerships in other litigation firms where his trial work encompassed product liability cases for plaintiff and defense, construction law, civil rights, defamation and dissolution of marriage, as well as commercial cases in federal and state court, including securities regulation, anti-trust, trade secrets, stockholder's suits, employment, partnership dissolution and unfair competition.

Meredith L. Nathanson

Meredith L. Nathanson joined The Nathanson Law Firm in the fall of 2003. She practices in the following areas of law: Shareholder Litigation; Partnership Litigation; Professional Negligence; Contested Wills; Contested Trusts and Estates.

Meredith has assisted in major commercial cases, conducting equity and jury trial research, drafting motions in limine and jury instructions; assisting with pretrial matters and preparation, drafting motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and memoranda of law as well as attending depositions, organizing and synthesizing discovery materials.

Dona Nutini has been devoted to defending employers in employment discrimination and other matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, Arizona Civil Rights Division, U.S. Department of Labor and in the courts. She has also represented employers in connection with union organizing drives, collective bargaining and all aspects of traditional labor law. Other client services include advising employers on general business issues, preventive strategies, personnel policies, employment contracts, non-compete and trade secret matters, and employee and manager training. Litigation experience includes administrative proceedings, state and federal court matters, and commercial and labor arbitrations. 

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Nutini worked at the National Labor Relations Board, including three years as staff counsel to board members in Washington, DC, followed by five years as a field attorney in the Philadelphia regional office, and then returning to Washington, D.C. headquarters as a trial attorney in the Division of Enforcement. She has handled a myriad of substantive unfair labor practice issues, as well as investigations, elections and election-related proceedings, and trials.
