Philip J. Nathanson 

Philip J. Nathanson began his legal career in 1979. As a trial and appellate attorney he concentrates his practice on civil litigation for clients nationwide. His caswork includes business litigation, professional negligence cases (medical malpractice, legal malpractice, accounting malpractice), personal injury, products liability cases, probate, will contest and trust litigation, civil rights cases, employment and retaliatory discharge cases and family law & divorce.  

Previous Work

Prior to establishing The Nathanson Law Firm, Philip Nathanson was a partner Goldberg & Goldberg, one of Chicago’s largest plaintiff’s trial firms, where he focused on plaintiff's medical malpractice, product liability and personal injury cases at the trial and appellate level. Mr. Nathanson’s extensive experience includes partnerships in other litigation firms where his trial work encompassed product liability cases for plaintiff and defense, construction law, civil rights, defamation and dissolution of marriage, as well as commercial cases in federal and state court, including securities regulation, anti-trust, trade secrets, stockholder's suits, employment, partnership dissolution and unfair competition.

Kate is a Russian speaking attorney with over nine years of international and U.S. combined experience. Kate is a graduate of the prestigious Duke University School of Law, receiving her LL.M. degree in Law & Entrepreneurship from Duke. Kate attended the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, Arizona, where she graduated with a cum laude Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. While at the UofA Law, Kate received a legal writing and oral advocacy award. She was also placed on multiple Dean’s List Honors during law school. 

Kate obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Westminster International University in 2006. She began her practice in 2006 representing major oil and gas company. Prior to joining Nathanson Law Firm, Kate completed a year clerkship for a superior court judge in Pima County.

Kate’s areas of practice include, business and commercial litigation, personal injury, emerging growth companies, professional negligence.  




Douglas Imperi Jr. is a dedicated litigation attorney. His practice covers a wide array of legal areas, including: civil rights, personal injury, professional malpractice, contract disputes, employment discrimination, real estate and business litigation, and appeals. Prior to joining The Nathanson Law Firm, Doug worked as an extern for the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and the Tucson City Court, where he had the opportunity to draft important decisions and observe hours of oral argument.

Doug graduated in the top third of his class from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. In law school, he earned two certificates, one for Business Litigation and one for Transactional Business Law. He also won awards for Excellence in Oral Argument and Brief Writing while participating in various moot court competitions. Outside of the law, Doug enjoys coaching and playing soccer, hiking, reading, traveling, and taking runs with his Border Collie, Titan.

Meredith L. Nathanson

Meredith L. Nathanson joined The Nathanson Law Firm in the fall of 2003. She practices in the following areas of law: Shareholder Litigation; Partnership Litigation; Professional Negligence; Contested Wills; Contested Trusts and Estates.

Meredith has assisted in major commercial cases, conducting equity and jury trial research, drafting motions in limine and jury instructions; assisting with pretrial matters and preparation, drafting motions to dismiss, summary judgment, and memoranda of law as well as attending depositions, organizing and synthesizing discovery materials.
